Jeepers...  Three showings in three days and now someone wants to come back for a second visit. These sem to be serious buyers. The open house I did on Saturday only pulled in one potential buyer and she may be the least serious.  Stay tuned.

Still Waiting for the Hordes of People with $$$

No offers yet but several inquiries and over 150 "hits" on my web ad. That meand 150 instances of people looking at my full ad...not just browsing the page. I also posted an ad in the newspaper this week. My weebly web page shows that there are several hits every day and I'm still posting on Craigslist each day. People are stopping and picking up my flyers from the sign in the front yard. I don't know what else to do except schedule an open house....maybe this weekend or next. (I don't have to chase after flyers anymore since I 'fixed' the problem & wired the holder to the sign.)

Zillow now says that they estimate my house is worth $173,200, way more than I'm asking. Actually I'm feeling a little worried because I 'm afraid I'll get an offer and not know what to do with it.   What if I get more than one???  Yikes....need to talk to Ty.

Still For Sale

Okiedoke. It's been a couple weeks and I'm still waiting for the hordes of people to arrive making purchase offers...they must have gotten lost somewhere or distracted. So far, I've gotten several spam e-mails with people wanting me to sell to their investment company. I got one phone inquiry but he said that he drove past the house and decided he wants a bigger yard.

So far, my time is well spent chasing after my real estate flyers that I can't seem to keep attached to the yard sign. I guess that's why they call them flyers. I'm too cheap to buy one of those hard plastic flip-top flyer boxes and even if I did I couldn't attach it to the yard sign. I do have some people stopping and picking up flyers so I'm glad I have them out there.

The Foresalebyowner.com web page is getting some attention. I have had 75 hits in a week or so. It could be one person or just a few making multiple hits but I get a count of how many times people actually bring up my house description page.  I was surprised to see that my house pops up on Zillow. They must go out and search for other houses for sale. Zillow offers a "Zestimate" of what they think the house is worth - $161,300 which is close to my asking price of $164,900.

This weekend has been a washout....lots of rain. My neighbors across the street had a garage sale with lots of people attending so the traffic was high.

The Sign is in the Yard

Here I go again. This time I'm trying FSBO -- For Sale By Owner. When I had the several agents come and look at the house about a year ago they suggested that I just list it FSBO when I was ready because there was too much competition and nothing was selling anyway.

So now I have a sign up in the yard and a web listing and I've been posting on Craigslist.  I lowered my price to $164,900. I figure I can do this for a coupleonths to see what happens and how the market goes. I have an agent calling me every few months and Ty is still interested and bringing people to see the house.
