No changes on the house. I still get about one inquiry a week but nobody seems willing or able to purchase. I still have my contingency contract so I hope they get a buyer.
Out in New Mexico the half-acre lot next to mine is up for sale at a good price so I'm trying to figure out how to buy it. My builder thinks it would be a good idea to buy it and hold on to it for a while.
It was election day here in Jefferson City this past Tuesday. These people amaze me. They are so out of touch with the world and reality that my decision to move is reaffirmed at each election day. They voted down a funding plan for the public library and also for the city fire department. At the same time they voted to approve a bible-thumper feel-good amendment to the state constitution to allow public prayer.The amendment provisions were already in the constitution so the amendment was not needed but the state's voters approved it. Unfortunately, the wording of the amendment contradicts the constitution because they couldn't pass up a chance to try to impose tighter restrictions on prison inmates' religious rights. ACLU filed suit the day after the election so now we have a court case.
